With Christmas just over a month away, the Christmas atmosphere is also beginning to take hold in Bologna. The city streets begin to dress up in theme and the traditional Christmas markets kick off in the historic centre, where you can buy Christmas gifts and presents, but also typical culinary and other products.
Christmas Markets in Bologna: from the Santa Lucia Fair to the Christmas Village in Piazza Minghetti
The famous Santa Lucia Fair, located under the portico of the Chiesa dei Servi on Strada Maggiore, has already opened its doors. Until 26 December, it will be possible to go in search of statuettes for your nativity scene, but also to purchase other products to experience Christmas with great enthusiasm.
From 26 November to 24 December 2022, there is the French Christmas Village in Piazza Minghetti in Bologna. This is the perfect location to enjoy typical Christmas delicacies, many of which come from France: hot dishes, cheeses and desserts to taste together with mulled wine.
Also in Via Altabella, from 18 November to 8 January, and in Porta Galliera, from 24 November to 10 January, you can find Christmas markets where you can buy costume jewellery, sweets and various gift ideas for an even more magical Christmas!
