Some of the works of Aldo Mondino, a master artist of the 20th century, land at Palazzo Boncompagni, a beautiful building in Bologna, just a few minutes walk from the Locanda dell’Orsa. The exhibition, which has already started and will continue until 10 April, presents about fifteen significant works that significantly represent the artist’s poetics. The choice of works depended on the relationship with the extraordinary venue of the exhibition and to highlight the incredible inventiveness and quality of Mondino‘s creations.
Aldo Mondino in Bologna: who the artist is
Aldo Mondino, an extraordinary and eclectic artist, was one of the last century’s most appreciated and beloved artists. His originality and refined irony did not conceal the dramatic nature of specific images or the playful contradiction between the title and subject of his works. Mondino has always played with the ambiguity of language on a conceptual level, creating situations that are often paradoxical but, at the same time, always believable in a narrative story.
