Formula One, Imola Grand Prix: The programme
The long weekend dedicated to the Imola Grand Prix will kick off on Friday, 19 May, at 13.30 with the first practice session. Saturday 20 will see the decisive qualifying session for Sunday’s starting position instead. Imola hosted the Italian Grand Prix for the first time in 1980, temporarily replacing the Monza circuit. Since 1981, it became part of the calendar as the San Marino Grand Prix held for 26 editions until 2006. The victory record belongs to the famous Michael Schumacher, who finished the race in first place seven times.
